Frequently Asked Questions

What is "All club" and "Contract Ice?"

As a new member, as a gift to you the club will purchase your first Learn to Skate Membership with US Figure Skating. When you purchase your class you become a member of the Swan City Ice Skaters club. As part of your class enrollment, you may take advantage of scheduled "All Club Ice" or "All Club/Contract Ice" for independent practice. There may be other classes on the ice so be mindful of those classes. Check the site calendar frequently for these added hours to practice your skills!

How do I know what level to enroll my skater in?

New skaters should register by their age group if level has not yet been determined. While in the class, the coach will monitor the skaters skills and work on level appropriate skills or recommend a different class. The last week of each session the coaches will test each skater to determine level placement for the next session.

Do we need to bring our own skates?
