SwanSyncSation

SwanSyncSation is an award-winning Synchronized Skating program, fielding teams beginning at Aspire 1. We are a proud member of the Wisconsin Inspire Co-Op, which brings together skaters and coaches in Southern Wisconsin who share a passion for synchronized skating. The co-op carries our Swans on to qualifying level skating with our other foundation level teams.

Our foundation teams are the roots to the Wisconsin Inspire Co-Op.

Synchronized skating is the fastest-growing discipline within the United States Figure Skating Association, topping singles, pairs, and ice dance and offers athletes the chance to compete with a team and learn the value of teamwork and camaraderie. Formed in 1956 by Dr. Richard Porter, the sport was known as “precision skating” for the intricate moves skaters perform on the ice together. U.S. Figure Skating held the first U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in 1984 and the first World Synchronized Skating Championships in 2000. Today, there are about 600 registered synchronized teams in the United States.

Teams of five to twenty skaters perform challenging formations and step sequences together, and competitions use the same judging system as singles, pairs and ice dance. As with other disciplines, all teams perform a free skate with required elements, and junior- and senior-level teams also perform a short program.

What We Offer

Our program, established in the 1990’s, has a tradition of excellence both in results and in skater development. Our Swans have joined the Inspire co-op to receive national medals for the Juvenile and Intermediate divisions. Many Swan Alum members have also gone on to become Sectional and National medalists in the Collegiate, Junior and Senior divisions with appearances at the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships.

Joining the WI Inspire cooperative gives our long standing program advantages, that other programs don’t offer.

Wisconsin Inspire Co-Op

Wisconsin Inspire offers elite level synchronized skating in Southern Wisconsin. Experienced skaters from many different synchro programs, rinks and clubs join together to skate on national qualifying levels.

THE WISCONSIN INSPIRE COOPERATIVE brings together skaters and coaches in Southern Wisconsin who share a passion for synchronized skating. Members of the Wisconsin Inspire Cooperative learn more about the world of synchronized skating while sharing their knowledge of the sport. In addition, members have access to training clinics and camps to build their skating skills. With no single club affiliation, this program provides an opportunity to skate on elite level synchronized skating teams, while still representing a skater's home program.
